I moved to Farcet a year ago in September 2019 to become the Priest-in-Charge of Stanground and Farcet Churches. Previously I had been a priest in churches in Kent and Norfolk. I have a passion for rugby, and classic vehicles – my wife thinks I’m a bit ‘geeky’ when it comes to buses. We have a couple of dogs whom we enjoy taking for walks – especially around Crown Lakes. Prior to ordination in 2008, I had spent over 27 years in education, with 25 of those years in special education. I taught in a special school for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties for many years, became an advisor, and spent my last 6 years as Educational Officer for Special Education and Inclusion. I have a passion for children to achieve their potential, but equally want to see children enjoy their experiences in school. As a Governor of St Mary’s School, I hope to bring my past experience in education as well as my role as priest in the village to encourage and help develop our children., and to get alongside our families.
